Happy Halloween!!

I have always loved Halloween, but for some reason, I was super excited for it this year. We went to Halloween City and picked out the most random costumes. I have never bought a real costume, I have always just thrown things together that I've had at my house. It was fun to actually buy all the accessories and put my costume together. Chad was a psycho lunch lady and I was a fat man in a speedo.

Each year, my uncle and aunt in Morgan, UT throw a huge Halloween party. They have a scary house that they decorate and haunt the front yard for the trick or treaters. Once Chad and I got off work, we went up to my parents house to ride up with them. The entire Weitzeil extended side was there. My Aunt Sue always cooks multiple soups, which all taste amazing, and we eat until our hearts are content.

Everyone there was amazed by our costumes.  We would have definitely won the "best dressed" award for the night!

We played games with the cousins and watched part of "Red Eye". It was a great night with the family!

Sundance Moonlight Lift

Chad went to the instacare for his back. The Dr said he strained a muscle in his back, but the X-ray looked a little fishy. He sent the results to a radiologist to make sure it isn't fractured. I sure hope it will heal quickly!

For family night, we went with the Nelson's up to Sundance for the thrilling haunted moonlight lift. It was decorated very well, I even got scared a couple times. We love going out with the Nelson's, they are great friends. 2 weeks until Disneyworld!!

After the lift, we went to Farrs to get some frozen yogurt. Sean and Taylor were working, it was good to see them. It was such a great night!!

Forts

Watching tv is always more fun in a fort..don't you agree? Chad's back is still sore. He laid in the fort for 2 minutes then hobbled to the couch. Poor husband :(

Soccer Game and Birthday Parties

Saturday (10/27/12) was a great day! We went to our first BYU girls soccer game. We thought the game started at 1:30 pm, so we show up right on time, which ended up being half time. Good thing at least got to watch the second half :) They smoked St. Mary's 5-0. It was a fun game to watch!

Later that night, we met up with the Helm's and Nelson's at Carrabba's to celebrate Rashelle's 24th birthday. Carrabba's is one of my favorite restaurant. It was a great night with great friends! After dinner, we went to the Nelson's for pie and to play games.

Chad hurt his back, we aren't exactly sure, but it was killing him. He could hardly walk. We left the party early to come home so he could rest. Hopefully it's nothing serious!

Halloween Time

Today has been a great day. On Facebook there was an add to get one bean burrito and a medium drink for FREE at Taco Amigo. How could we pass up free food? I cheated and printed 2 coupons. Chad and I met there after work to enjoy a complimentary dinner on the house. We haven't eaten at the good old Taco Amigo in about a year... it was good to be back :)

Since Halloween is just around the corner and our pumpkins were sitting on our porch untouched, we figured its time to carve them up! I chose the bat in the moonlight and Chad chose the hand coming out of the grave. We turned up the tunes and carved away. 1 hour later we had our beautiful master pieces. Pretty sure we're the best pumpkin carvers on the block ;)

Candles were put in the pumpkins and placed on the porch. We hung cobwebs
around the door and on the rails. To finish it off, we put a flashing strobe light on the stairs. It looks spooky!

Happy Halloween!

Sean's Endowment

Today we had the opportunity to go to Sean's endowment at the Timpanogos temple. That means he is one step closer to leaving on his mission {crazy!} I absolutely love going to the temple, especially with my family and Chad. There is nothing more important than the gospel and family. That's what life is all about --both of them at the same time...it can't get any better than that :)

I am so blessed to be born into such an amazing family. Now that Sean has been endowed, my entire family has been through the temple and are all active in the church. I am so grateful for spectacular parents that raised us in such a great home and environment. I know without a doubt that this church is true and I am so grateful to have it in my life!

We are in love

I love love.  Love makes me happy. Happiness is waking up in the middle of the night, and feeling the heat of my lover next to me. I see him in his most peaceful, innocent, and vulnerable state. He breathes as though the weight of the world lays on everyone else's shoulders but his own. I smile, kiss his face in the most gentle manner, careful not to wake him. I turn back around and an involuntary grin forms on my face. I feel an arm wrap around my waist, and I know it doesn't get any better than this!

Pumpkin Decorating

One of my favorite parts of Halloween is decorating pumpkins. This year, I found an idea on Pinterest that I'd never done before. It was messy, time consuming (2 hours later!) and at some parts frustrating, but in the end, it was worth it. I'm pleased with how it tuned out :)

Farr's Fresh

Chad and I love Farr's Fresh!! My younger brother, Sean, works there so we always stop by when we're in the neighborhood to see him. Being the sweet brother that he is, he gives us the employee discount, how could you pass up 1/2 off frozen yogurt?! My cousin Taylor just recently got hired at the same location. After a couple hours of shopping at the mall, we decided to go visit them and enjoy some frozen yogurt. It was so good to see both of them!

General Conference

I love general conference and I always look forward to it. But for some reason, all of the speakers have relaxing and soothing voices and it always puts me right to sleep....

Have a great Sunday!

Rooftop Concert Series

Tonight we went to the Rooftop Concert Series in Provo. We were excited to watch the Lower Lights perform, but we didn't come prepared for the cold weather. We left 15 minutes into the concert, we were freezing. Good thing it was free! We enjoyed a great night together. I love the weekends!!

Scheel's

Last night, we went with our friends, Colby and Rashelle Nelson, up to the new sporting goods store, Scheel's. You haven't experienced a sporting goods store until you've been to Scheel's. This store has EVERYTHING!! They have a huge Ferris wheel and aquarium in the store, I was pretty impressed.

After 2 hours in the store, we went to Chipotle for dinner. They have amazing burritos! It was a great night!

The countdown to Disneyworld has begun....40 days, 2 hours, 31 minutes and 28 seconds. We are so excited to go with the Nelson's! This will be our first vacation since our honeymoon, it's going to be a blast :)

#diy #itsthateasy

Today I dedicated my afternoon to deep cleaning our house. In the middle of shampooing our carpets, I had this sudden urge to do crafts. Who needs cleaning anyway, right?! ;) I dropped the vacuum (literally), grabbed my keys and purse and headed to Hobby Lobby. This is what my shopping list consisted of....

Branch wreath
5 white peonies
1 red peony
Hot glue gun
Hot glue refills
Wooden letter "D"
Red paint
Paint brush

I was surprised how easy and fast I was able to put the wreath together. It was probably one of the easiest crafts I've ever done. I am really happy with how it turned out!

Gardner Village

Amy and Bryce came up from Colorado for the weekend. On Saturday, us girls decided to have a girl day. Me, Mom, Amy, Christine and her 2 kids, Emily and Joshua, hoped in the car and drove to Gardner Village in West Jordan.

We spent the afternoon walking through the different shops. They have the cutest decorations! I couldn't resist myself....I left with 2 cute decorations for our house. I can't wait to put them up!
