Easter Nails

I love painting my nails. Ask Chad, I will rip off my gels nails each week (even though they usually will last for at least 2 weeks) so I can paint them again.

I saw this idea on Pinterest and I was determined to do it. All you do is paint five dots of a nail polish on a paper plate and then mix in an increasing amount of white nail polish within each of the five dots. Now you have ombré nails! It was super easy and quite cute :)

BYU vs Mercer

Byu men's basketball is playing in the NIT (national invitational tournament). We had the opportunity to attend both of their games at home. We lucked out with awesome seats at Monday's game. We took Chad's parents to the game and we sat on the 10th row. It was an intense game, BYU barely won! We always love a great game of basketball :).

Out For Good

Well, we are officially out of our 1st house. It was sad to say goodbye. We had so many great memories in that house. We are moving into Chad's parents basement so we don't have to sign another contract in case we find a house soon. His parents are so kind to let us live in their basement. We are excited for our new adventure!

Moving On... Literally

I can't believe how quickly our lives have changed in the last week! It's been so crazy!

1. Our landlord found out we have a dog... our secret only lasted a month.
2. Bruno had to be out of our house by today. Luckily, my parents are so generous and offered to watch him until we move.
3. We didn't get the house we put an offer on :( It was a short sale and the offer before ours got accepted... so the hunt continues!
4. Until we find the perfect home, we are moving into Chad's parents basement. We want to be able to live with Bruno, especially while he is a puppy, so we figured we would move!
5. We need to be out of our house by April 1st, but we decided we are moving out by March 23 so we can have plenty of time to clean the house and carpets once we are all moved out.
6. We have five days to pack our lives into boxes. Wish us luck!

We never expected to leave our contract early, but we are so excited to start our new adventure :)

Bonfire Season

This Friday night was different than usual. Normally once Chad and I get off work, we go on a date night which usually consists of dinner, a movie, bowling, shopping, etc. We love spending the night together.  Our nephew, Maddox, had his 7th birthday party tonight. So we got to hang out with Chad's family. It was nice to switch things up a little bit.

Bruno fell down my parents cement stairs today and hurt his leg. Since he has been limping ever since, we decided we better go home and play it easy the rest of the night. You might wonder why his leg would determine what we do.... it's because we take him everywhere with us! He isn't allowed at our house that we are renting, so he goes to work with Chad, and spends a lot of time in our car and at our parents house. We are excited to move out of this house so we can just leave him at home.

We decided since it was a beautiful night, we should have a bonfire in our backyard. I bought Chad a fire pit for Christmas that we have never used because it's been too cold. Chad had fun pouring the "fire starter" on the flame and making a bonfire! The flame was huge, I got a little nervous :) We roasted marshmellows and ate delicious s'mores. It was a great night together!

Spring Has Sprung

My top 3 reasons I'm so excited for Spiring: 1. We can finally play out on the grass and play fetch at the park with Bruno. 2. We live SO close to the mountains here in Provo = great hiking = great exercise! 3. My pasty skin gets to see the sunshine, it's in desperate need!

Last weekend, we decided to take Bruno on his first hike. We are so lucky to live just five minutes away from Rock Canyon. I love hiking because the mountains never cease to amaze me, they are incredible! Plus, it's a beter workout than going to the gym, and I get to do it with Chad and Bruno. There was still quite a bit of snow on the pathway, so we weren't able to go as far as we would've liked, but it was a great hike!

Poor Bruno

Bruno, our little 4 month old puppy, had his ears clipped. I have been so excited for him to get them clipped since we first got him. We have heard people call him many names (Dobby, the bat from Annastasia, a pig, yoda... the list goes on and on). The surgery was pretty intense. The Dr. cut off about 4 inches of his ears. He was drugged for the entire day. It was sad to hear him wine as soon as the pain pills wore off. He has to wear tape on his ears and a cone on his head for 2 weeks. I can't wait to see what he looks like when the process is done. He is going to look so good!

This is Bruno before surgery (sorry it's a little blurry)

Bruno leaving the hospital... he looks miserable!!

Amy's Baby Shower

Amy is having a baby boy that's due on April 27, 2013! My family is so excited for the new addition to our family. With many ideas from pinterest, Me, Stephanie, Christine and my mom threw together a baby shower for her. Many friends and family came. We ate yummy food, played intense games, and watched Amy open many adorable gifts. It was fun to be with the family and to celebrate baby Wynne :)

Birthday Boy

On Feb 27, Chad turned the big 2-6! Since we both had to work, we didn't get to do anything too exciting during the day. I surprised him with Cafe Rio (his favorite!) for lunch. We went up to his parents house and ate together, which was fun since we never see each other until we both get off work at 5 pm.

Garrett, Chad's brother, bought us Jazz tickets for his birthday. We went with a few of his other siblings. We had great seats on the 18th row! The game was pretty intense, but they ended up losing :( Im pretty sure I cursed them with my last post. It was fun to be with the family and especially to celebrate Chad's birthday with everyone.

As we were leaving the parking garage after the game, there was a huge line of cars because everyone was leaving at once. There was one car that decided to skip the line and cut in front of everyone by going through the parking stalls. Well, none of the cars would let him in because it wasn't fair that he could just cut to the front. We eventually got up to him, and Chad didn't notice that the car was forcing his way into the line. Once he noticed, he looked over to the car, but kept driving.... which resulted in us bumping into the car in front of us.

We pulled over to check out the damage. The brand new Subaru that we hit, had a little scratch, but Chad rubbed it and it went away. We still exchanged insurances, but since we didn't involve the police, we are hoping our  insurance premiums won't go up. Wish us luck!

At the end of the day, we didn't have a lot of luck tonight. But it was fun to be together and eat ice cream :) I am grateful for Chad and for the example he sets for me everyday. I am so excited to spend many more memorable birthdays with him!
