The other day, I had the afternoon off of work and decided to stop at my parents house. My brother Mike, and his family are currently living there until they move to Virginia in December. As I pulled in front of the house, all of my nieces were raking and jumping in the leaves. The kid came out in me and I couldn't help but join in. I'm dreading the day they move.. until then, I will continue playing silly games with them.

Autumn Love
The weather has been absolutely beautiful. I love the sunshine in the afternoon and the chill at night. Since we live in a basement, it can get very cold in the evenings. One of our favorite things to do is watch TV and cuddle by the fire. Chad lights the fireplace and I turn on Netflix, we make such a good team. Bruno is afraid of fire. He will sit on the couch and stare at the flames and jump each time the wood crackles. It's actually kind of cute. I love our little family.

Halloween Moonlight Lift
Each Halloween, Chad and I have made a tradition of going to the Halloween Moonlight Lift at Sundance. Hot chocolate, cuddling and halloween decorations.... it doesn't get much better than that!

Falling into Autumn
October {ok-toh-ber}: The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.
Fall has always been my favorite season, the time when everything bursts with it's last beauty.
It's almost like mother nature has been saving up all year for the grand finale.
I take Bruno on a walk up Provo Canyon every Wednesday. I can't help but stop and stare at the stunning colors at Bridal Veil Falls. By going just once a week, I am able to see how quickly seasons come and go and the beauty with every season. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!

Battle Creek Falls and Big Springs
Since the weather is quickly turning, Chad and I have been trying to do as much stuff outside as we can. We got up early Saturday morning and took Bruno on a hike up Battle Creek Falls in Pleasant Grove Canyon. Normally we stop at the falls, but since it was such a nice morning, we decided to keep going. Because of all the rain, the trail slowly disappeared so we weren't able to go that far, but it was so fun to be up there. It's such a beautiful hike!
A couple days later we headed up Big Springs, one of our favorite hikes. It is easy for Bruno, plus with the leaves changing, it's so pretty! We took a different trail and found a perfect spot by the river to sit and relax. We ended up sitting there for about an hour talking about life, goals and all the good stuff :) I am so grateful for our little family. Life is so good!!
