Dog Show

On Saturday, we went to our niece, Ella's, baptism in Day Break. As we were leaving, we decided to put Bruno in a dog show in SLC. Right when we got to the competition, Bruno's category was up... talk about no time to prepare! Bruno stole the competition, taking first! Everyone at the show was obsessed with him. What can I say... he's a beautiful dog!

Later that night, my nieces came over to my house for a sleepover. We did gel nails, ate ice cream, talked about boys, played with the dogs, and watched Big Mama.. it was a blast! In the morning I made pancakes, bacon, and eggs for Sarah's 16th birthday. We did makeup and hair tutorials and helped each other pick outfits. It was fun spending time with them, they are so cute.

Bruno's 1st Birthday

Yesterday was Bruno's 1st birthday! He is like our child, so we had to celebrate. We bought party hats and party horns and had our own little party. Bruno has the cutest little personality, he was so hyper and happy all day; it's like he knew it was his birthday. We love our little Bruno, he brings so much happiness into our lives. Happy Birthday Bruno!!

Bruno's Dog Show

Bruno was in his 2nd dog show held in the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, UT. I get really excited for his dog shows because I love competition and I love to win.

Bruno was in 3 different shows. There is a different judge every show, which makes it challenging because each judge looks for different qualities and traits. Chad handled Bruno during the shows. The requirements are simple, but you would be amazed how tricky it can be. Bruno placed 2nd in two of the shows, we were really proud! I hope I love my children as much as I love Bruno. He has set a high standard :)

1st Dog Show

We had the opportunity to enter Bruno into a dog show. When we got Bruno, Chad and I decided we wanted to get him into dog shows so he can become a champion. We decided we would go to this dog show to learn how and what we need to train him.

The show was up at the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, UT in a big field outside. Two of my brother -in-laws, Shane and Garrett, and their kids, came up as well. It was suposed to start at 11 am, but didn't end up starting until almost 1:30 pm.

Our nephew, Kale, showed Bruno in the junior handling class. He did a great job handling him for his first time. He took 3rd place!

There was a big gap in between contests, so we found some shade on the grass to relax. It was so hot outside that we had to keep dumping water on Bruno so he wouldn't get heat stroke. One of the dog at the competition almost died from it. He was panting so hard and couldn't cool down. The owners rushed him to a faucet and laid him in water. He poured ice on him to try and cool him down. A lot of people were surrounding them to see what was happening. It was sad to see the dog like that. Luckily, he was able to cool down and he ended up being alright.

Chad handled him in 6-9 month old competition. He did such a good job. We had never trained Bruno to stack (how the dogs have to stand in front of the judges), but he did just as well as the other dogs. I wasn't expecting Bruno to place, since it was our first show and we didn't really know what we were doing, but he took 2nd! We were so proud! We are excited to enter him into more dog shows in the future!

Baby Hungry? Get a Puppy

We have absolutely loved having Bruno. He seriously brings so much happiness into our lives. You may think it's silly to say a dog can bring so much happiness, but it's true.

He's like our child. We had to potty train him, feed him, clean up his poop, wake up with him during the night, spoil him... the list goes on and on. We love having him in our little family :)
