Cabin Bound

I always love going up to my family cabin. It is such a nice, relaxing getaway. Every Memorial Day Weekend, the Weitzeil side of my family goes up and spends the weekend there. I always look forward to it! I love how it's only an hour away, but it feels like we are completely out of Utah Valley. The mountains and trees are so beautiful up there!

Chad and I drove up late Friday night and stayed until Monday afternoon. It was a much needed getaway! On Saturday morning, my dad taught Chad how to ride a motorcycle. We went down to the parking lot to let him practice. I was surprised how quickly he caught on. He's definitely a natural ;) I followed him around on the four wheeler. I love the motorcycle, but I have crashed a couple of times (I actually have a dent in my shin bone from the foot pedal when the bike fell on me 4 years ago). I still get nervous on it, but I will ride it occasionally. I prefer the four wheeler.

Later that afternoon, we drove to the outlets in Park City. I figured there would be good sales because of Memorial Day. I love shopping, and can never pass up a good deal (I get it from my Grandma Weitzeil, she was a hardcore shopper).

Smith & Moorehouse lake is 5 minutes from our cabin. Chad had never been there, so we decided to stop by. It's so beautiful! We usually swim in it, but it was too cold, so we decided to go on a hike instead. I'm so glad that Chad loves the outdoors like me. We love to hike and be adventurous. I definitely married a keeper :) It was such a great weekend!!
