Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Every year, the Saturday before Easter, all the Weitzeil's (cousins, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc.) go up to my Aunt Sherry's house for the annual egg hunt. I always look forward to this party because it's one of the few times I get to be with my all my cousins.

The party started at 1 pm. If you know any Weitzeil's, you know that they are ALL amazing chefs! Every time we have a family party, I always over-eat. The food is always delicious! We ate hamburgers, salads, the famous jello-jigglers and lots of desserts.

Each family is required to bring a bag of candy for the egg hunt. This year, there were over 400 easter eggs that the mothers had to fill with candy. It took them a couple of hours! While they were busy at work, everyone else was out enjoying the sunshine.

Chad and I decided to try Aunt Sherr's tandem bike from the 1950's. I have riden a tandem before, but I didn't have a good experience. Needless to say, I was actually quite nervous to get back on the bike again. After 10 minutes, Chad and I finally had it down. He sat in the front and steered, and I sat in the back and pedaled (I was horrible at steering :). It was really fun. It made us want to get one.

The hunt was a blast! We eat got 18 eggs, a charleston chew and a ziplock bag full of candy. It was definitely a good year!

Earlier that day, Chad said, "Lets go to H&M and buy you clothes." I love when he's in a shopping mood! So on our way home, we stopped at fashion place mall and shopped. I got a shirt, jeans and a couple pair of leggings. I kept telling him to go pick out some shirts, but he kept saying, "No, we are just shopping for you today." He is the BEST husband! How did i get soo lucky?!?
