Three Month Update

Happy 3 months baby Duke! It's crazy how fast time flies! This has got to be one of my favorite stages so far. It's so fun to watch his little spunky personality grow. We love you and can't imagine life without you!!

Clothing: 6 months

Bedtime: between 9:30-11:00 pm

Eating: He eats about every three hours, and has gotten a lot quicker at eating. I can feed him in about 30 minutes instead of an hour. I decided it's a lot easier to hold him instead of using the boppy while feeding him. He is able to drink out of a bottle, which is so convenient, so if I have busy days, I'll pump and take a bottle with me, which makes it a lot easier! He is only eating breastmilk - no formula.

Sleeping: He has become quite the sleeper. He only wakes up once to eat (around 4:30 am) and will sleep until 7:30-8 am. He still sleeps in our room and probably will until he sleeps all through the night. 

Development: He found his hands the other day and it was the cutest thing. He literally stared at them for 10 minutes. Chad and I couldn't stop laughing. He is "cooing" a lot more and had his first laugh. Of course, he laughed at Bruno. Those two love each other so much. Pretty sure it's the cutest thing! He loves looking at colorful things (blankets, books, etc.). He has mommy and daddy wrapped around his fingers. To say we are obsessed with him would be an understatement.

Likes:

-to listen to Jack Johnson, it seriously calms him down when he's grumpy.

-to sit up/stand up (with our help)

-bath time

-likes to be rocked and bounced

-LOVES to watch TV(especially basketball - he must get that from daddy ;)

-he is definitely a morning person. He is always super happy when he wakes up.

-likes to be in his carseat

-likes to have his face tickled

-likes daddy's silly faces

Dislikes:

-tummy time, although he is getting better

-doesn't like to be held facing inward, he likes to see the world

-dislikes falling a sleep. He always shakes his head back and forth (like he's saying "no") It's really funny, because it's like he's trying to stay awake but can't.

New This Month:

-first real laugh

-baby blessing

-slept all through the night once (on my birthday, too! Best present ever ;)

-he can hold his head up better, getting stronger!

Statistics:

-when I weighed him last week, he was 15 lb 7 oz.

Mommy Update:

-survived 9 credits at UVU with a newborn!
-hosted my first family gathering and prepared food for 40 people! It took a lot more work than I was expecting, but it was so fun!

Daddy Update:

-barely survived 16 credits at UVU and working full time. Such a hard worker!

-got a raise at work!
