Anniversary Getaway

Chad and I celebrated our second year of marriage with a weekend up in  SLC. It was a much needed getaway with my sweetheart. 

Friday night, we tried a little restaurant called "Brugges". I tell ya, being pregnant messes with your appetite. I only ate the fries, apparently the baby isn't a fan of BBQ sauce. We checked into the Sheraton hotel and ended the night by watching "Planet of the Apes".

Saturday morning, we started off our day with a workout in the fitness center. I convinced Chad to get a pedicure and manicure in the hotel spa... it was seriously a miracle. I have been trying to get him to come with me for the past 2 years. I was one happy girl. 

Saturday afternoon, Chad insisted that we go shopping at City Creek. Whenever Chad is wanting to go, I know he has something up his sleeve, because it RARELY happens. We ate at Cheesecake Factory and he said I get to pick out a present for our anniversary.. (He knows I have been eyeing a particular Michael Kors purse ;) I have been saving up for this purse for 2 months, because Michael Kors definitely aren't cheap. Being the savvy shopper that Chad is, when he saw the price tag ($400) at Nordstrom, he knew he could find a better deal. Of course, he found the exact same one, on ebay, brand new, with tags and all, for $230!! We couldn't pass up an deal like that! I am anxiously waiting for the package to arrive!

That night we went to our first Real soccer game. It was such an intense game, that ended with a tie. Chad scored perfect seats on row 8, center court.

On our way back to the hotel, we picked up "The Pie" pizza. It's definitely one of our favorites! 

Sunday morning we hung out at the hotel and spent some time at the pool. We ended our perfect getaway by getting lunch at the Little America hotel. It was such a great weekend with Chad and I am so grateful he's mine forever... I wouldn't want it any other way! Happy Anniversary!
