Birthday Boy

On Feb 27, Chad turned the big 2-6! Since we both had to work, we didn't get to do anything too exciting during the day. I surprised him with Cafe Rio (his favorite!) for lunch. We went up to his parents house and ate together, which was fun since we never see each other until we both get off work at 5 pm.

Garrett, Chad's brother, bought us Jazz tickets for his birthday. We went with a few of his other siblings. We had great seats on the 18th row! The game was pretty intense, but they ended up losing :( Im pretty sure I cursed them with my last post. It was fun to be with the family and especially to celebrate Chad's birthday with everyone.

As we were leaving the parking garage after the game, there was a huge line of cars because everyone was leaving at once. There was one car that decided to skip the line and cut in front of everyone by going through the parking stalls. Well, none of the cars would let him in because it wasn't fair that he could just cut to the front. We eventually got up to him, and Chad didn't notice that the car was forcing his way into the line. Once he noticed, he looked over to the car, but kept driving.... which resulted in us bumping into the car in front of us.

We pulled over to check out the damage. The brand new Subaru that we hit, had a little scratch, but Chad rubbed it and it went away. We still exchanged insurances, but since we didn't involve the police, we are hoping our  insurance premiums won't go up. Wish us luck!

At the end of the day, we didn't have a lot of luck tonight. But it was fun to be together and eat ice cream :) I am grateful for Chad and for the example he sets for me everyday. I am so excited to spend many more memorable birthdays with him!
